ICEM Church

      Our ICEM Church meets every Saturday night at 6:00 p.m.  It is designed to meet the needs of students, staff, and host parents with diverse spiritual maturity levels.  We service students and staff from 10 countries around the world as well as many ethnic backgrounds and have a strong vision to evangelize the world.

      We encourage students to get involved in leadership by joining the Praise Team, speaking about their country, inviting others, and by enthusiastic participation.  Each meeting begins with an “icebreaker” activity that promotes social interaction.  These are games and activities we play to get to know each other or to work together as a team.  Students are encouraged to reach out beyond their own language group in these activities.  During the year we also have activity nights where the main focus is an activity with a spiritual message.  For example:  The Quest is a scavenger hunt that is a metaphor for being hungry for God and for spiritual things.  See our Calendar of events for more activities for this year.            

Once a month our service includes a dinner.  We try to offer special dishes from each of the countries the students are from along with some of their American favorites.

In this setting, students feel free to be themselves and seek God with each other.  Many students have come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ because of these services.
